Passion Play

The Good Thief is a passion play. A passion play is a dramatic presentation performing the passion of Christ; the trial, suffering and death of Jesus. The play was adapted to the 21st century.

It started off with Jesus walking down the road with his disciples. The crowd waved their palms, and that is why it is called Palm Sunday. Meanwhile the Good Thief, Bad Thief and other thieves were pick pocketing. It happened in Jerusalem.

The next scene was when the thieves were in the inn looking at their recently stolen goods like mobiles and I-pods. Then Peter and John come into the inn to ask if there was a room upstairs to celebrate the Passover. There was a room. Jesus gave his disciples bread and wine. It was the last meal he had with his friends.

Jesus then went into the garden of Gethsemane to pray to his father, God. He talked to Him when he gets crucified. He begged John and Peter to stay with him. At the same time the Good Thief, Bad Thief, wife and brother were at the house. The wife did not want the Good Thief to go robbing with the Bad Thief.

In scene five the good and bad thieves are in the cells, and at that moment Jesus is thrown in. The good thief says she knows him and the bad thief has a go at her. Jesus carries on talking to the good thief and is teaching her to talk to God almighty.

In scene six Pilate is talking to Jesus and comes to the conclusion that Jesus’ life is no longer in his hands.

Scene seven is when Jesus is taken and crucified; everyone is very upset and the disciples pray to him all night.

The last scene is when the disciples take Jesus down from the cross and place him into the tomb. Jesus then rises from the dead and goes and saves the good thief because he believes that she will go to heaven.
