St Andrew's Feast Day

On Monday 30 November St Andrew’s class celebrated their feast day.  The Liturgy was led by the Class Teacher, Mrs Sewell, and parents were able to attend.  After the Liturgy the parents were then able to savour shortbread. During the day the children practised some Scottish Gaelic words and made shortbread.

Afterwards one of the children recalled “my favourite bit was making the biscuits” and another said “I enjoyed eating the yummy food”.  The Liturgy concentrated on Saint Andrew, and pupils and parents reported that they had found the day very informative. The reports suggest that the shortbread was a particular highlight!

We had to meet at the United Reformed Church and lead off into the High Street. I was a bit nervous walking down the High Street as there were lots of people looking at us, but it was fun.
